Biography: I am a pelvic health and musculoskeletal physio. Prior to life as a physio I was a contemporary dancer, teacher and choreographer while also working in the field of health and fitness in NZ, London and Edinburgh as a personal trainer. On return to NZ I studied physio at AUT in Auckland and then moved back home to Christchurch joining You First in 2018. Since then, I have been building my knowledge and experience in pelvic health and helping women within this incredibly special field of physio.
Clinical interests: I enjoy working with clients at all stages of their lifespan helping women during pregnancy through to recovery postnatal and then with peri and post-menopausal changes. Pelvic pain is also an area that is really rewarding, I absolutely love helping women achieve each goal no matter how big or small it can make a huge difference to their quality of life. Within musculoskeletal physio I love working with artistic athletes helping them rehabilitate and return to their performance and competition goals.
Hobbies/ interests: I enjoy weekend adventures with my young family and our crazy dog. I also enjoy weekly yoga classes and gym sessions. I have also recently learnt to crochet
Why I love being a physio/part of the team: I enjoy being able to incorporate my love for movement into helping people recover from injury. I also enjoy guiding people to reach their movement goals.
